NASCAR Sucks

Well it's Dayoton 500 time again and that can only mean one thing, it's almost time for Spring Training games to start. Is there anything more dumb than having your biggest race at the very beginning of your "season?"

I know NASCAR has become popular in our country in the last few years. Hundreds of thousands attend races every week and millions watch on TV. This is proof of how stupid many people are. Seriously, this is your fan base!!! Three hours of turning left, pit stops and the occasional accident just don't do it for me. I've heard people say that the "sport" is fun to watch in person, well I don't believe you. I would rather watch soccer than this garbage.

I refuse to acknowledge NASCAR as a sport. Driving around in a circle is not a sport. Driving is not a sport. I don't care if they are going really fast. You know what else goes fast? The Earth's rotation, and that's fucking really boring to watch. So today I could watch the Daytona 500 or this soccer "friendly" between the US and Guatamala...or I could just kill myself.

Thanks for using all our gas and killing a lot of people via cigarettes, you suck.

Oh, but there are so many positive things about Nascar.

For example, there's very little start and stop driving which almost makes up for the fact that driving 170 mph for 3 hours takes a shitload of gas.

It's probably helped further the souped up car movement to encourage street racing and cars with no mufflers.

The window sticker industry has benefitted enormously by producing so many 3s and 8s.

It provides convenience stores with 80% of its non-perishable inventory.

Its biggest icon is killed doing it and instead of people thinking, maybe this is dangerous, it becomes exponentially more popular.

It helped pave a world where everything is sponsored by a company logo by slapping huge logos on the car, therefore introducing me to the wonderful detergent that is Tide (TM).

It's tremendously popular in the South, and I think we all know that no sweepingly popular ideas across that region have been bad.

Nascar is the only true American Sport left. It is founded on patriotic beliefs and fundamental liberties. In other words, we get to fly our Confederate Flags and there aren't any colored folk involved.

I hope the comment from Dale, Ricky, etc. is a sarcastic one. If it isn't, you are very ignorant.

the reason you people think NASCAR is such a boring sport is because you cant fess up and call yourselves real men..true pussies talk theicrap about men risking r lives going faster than you will ever go on the roads..and as for the whole driving in circles thing..theres a whole lot more to it than that..or example there are many difficulties about going around a turn and trying to do it faster and better than the other 42 guys...its called competition..you have to man up get some balls, buckle in a race car race one race. then talk your shit..because i highly doubt you would be able to go from sitting on your ass all day to trying to drive a car for 3-4 hours straight wiht the forces of gravity, fatigue, heat and stress working against you..youll find by lap 10 youll want to get out of the car because you cant handle it.. your arms would be falling off and you will be dehydrated before you know it..until you do what we do and then do it better than anyone in nascar which i highly doubt you will be able to..i suggest you do some more research before comparing it to driving your street car...because its not..your pussy ass has air conditioning..nascar doesnt..you go straight mostly all day and they make turns..hardly getting any rest..if you want i can take you out in a racecar so i can witness myself a little "man" try to back up the shit he talks...oh and by the way im 16 years old..and obviously more man than youll ever be..and no im not "redneck" i live in new jersey and come from a very wealthy family..so you can forget about the redneck stereotype also..have a nice day

I don’t understand, if NASCAR sucks so bad then why is it the second most watched TV sports production on today. I will let you in on the secret that pretty much of us all ready know. AMERICAN’S LOVE CARS! There have been car races from the very first production models. As you know, many types of racing have evolved through out the years such as cars, motorcycles, formula, trucks and even lawn mowers. But the one that came to the top and has stayed there is stock car racing. If you take the time and the effort to look at the roots of stock car racing you will find every day Joes and Sallies just like you and I have competed in this sport ever since the very first race. Okay I will admit, there has been a sad representation of Black Americans in this sport from the beginning but that is changing as we live and breath. But the fact of the matter is, stack car racing (NASCAR) is what the most common American can relate to in this sport. I will bet you a dollar to a donut, if you are an American you either know or are related to someone that is currently or has been a stock car driver. This sport is no better than any other sport like baseball, football or even formula car racing this is just a sport that I and millions of other people around the globe can relate to in an every day since. Besides all of that, it is a real rush to watch a Chevy, Ford, Dodge or even a Toyota that resembles a car that I might drive running on a track with 40 other cars and drivers at 175 to 200+ mph. If you ever get the chance to go to a NASCAR event make sure you walk down and get as close as you can to the track during the race and I can almost guarantee you will change your mind about NASCAR. Well then agin, maybe not you, you most likley can not or do not want to see past the nose on your own face. It is a Great American sport that we all can relate to in one-way or another.
